You have not included the fumbling idiot option.

Without that I would have to go on prefference which is

Industrial, commercial then domestic.

Otherwise could I have an office job?

soon to be training spark lol start my night course in september

Just catching up on your backreading Badge?

Ian.

He's a bit slow is Badger. 9 months is not uncommon for him to get a joke :D
:^O

Is it "Pick on Badger day" again Today? :D

We love you really, Badge. :x

hi, i don,t really know what to class myself officially. i started out as a pat tester, then over the past 8 years got dragged further and further into the "tools" side of things. i.e got told to help out the sparks. At first seemed a great skive from the pat, but soon realised i really enjoyed this and took a keen interest. last year enrolled in a distant learning course from olci and furthered my knowledge. just sat my 2330-302 and 303. Should find out results in a couple of weeks.

Not sure where I fit in either, put myself through college, 2330 parts 1 and 2 and 2391, work for a firm that does domestic, commerical and light industrial, but I don't generally do much installation anymore, do more inspection and testing than anything else, its not bad but it gets a tad boring at times!

when i did my training it was 5 years but now these ETA courses it 10 days whats happening to the trade?
Welcome to the forum.

other -- just finshed 1st year 2330 local coll 2 evenings a week highlight of my week(is that sad :Blushing ) love it just wish i could have done the whole lvl2 in one year find it frustratingly slow.

had a refrigeration apprenticeship when i was younger involved lots of leccy in that compressors panels etc lost it after 18 months due to company takeoverX(.

never managed to secure another.

did bit of building after that bit of elec but somehow ended up in management(logistics) which slowly destroyed my soul over 8 years.

was working with a plumber earlier this year but work dried up.

still looking for a friendly spark to to take over the world with but no luck as yet:(

I chose other, I have just started my c&g2330 lv3 after geting distinctions in lv2. Have been working for a while as skilled labour for a domestic construction firm, anything from demolition to painting as well as looking after the site power supply when the contracted spark can't be bothered or is not on site. Keen to learn which is why I am spending a fair bit of time looking on these Electrician's forums :)
