Lack of mechanical protection for about 12 inches of the cable? (Or at least what I tell my missus 12 inches is  :slap )

I am gonna guess that the cables we see are on the 12V side of the transformer (hence no earths) and there are at least 2 GU10 (!) sockets fitted.

Also the transformer will be inaccessible when ceiling is closed off.

all lights are 230v GU10, except one above shower (fed from that tx)

there was also 4 mains downlights in total

typical builder, phone to ask if i could go connect a fan, then found that. turns out he couldnt connect fan himself because 'there was no neutral at the switch'
