Hi,

What steps do you recommend for house bashing?

Anyone use ABRU or YOUNGMAN?

and whats best one short and one long set or is there one size that does all if you get me.

Thanks

Depends how tall you are. ;)

Decent sturdy aluminium swingback steps are the preferred weapon of choice for me, although I do have many other pairs if required.

my fatmax box is designed for use as a step up. I use a 5 step fibreglass one and a larger (8') ish aluminium one. Not keen on the old school wood with rope types. I am working on NG sites at the mo and working off steps is a no no. Scaffold towers for everything.

ive got one of those fibreglass ones, five step i thinkm (the biggest that would fit in my van), then a small cheap 3 step for lesser heights. the fibreglass one is great, really sturdy. got that off tinternet,

Got some Fibreglass ones for general purpose and old wooden 5 steps for lower work, love my old wooden steps, easy to find a place for your terminal screwdrivers, stab them in the top! :)

think mine are 3, 5 and 8 tread, all youngman, can't fault them really. Didn't need all 3 but got them for 90quid the lot off ebay. The small pair are invaluable.

I've got 4 and 7 tread GRP steps, very strong a stable. Got them from Wickes of all places, cheapest at the time and are actually manufactured by Youngman
