For a car workshop with 24 SON T 250w lanterns, what is the best suitable circuit breakers to wire these from? Type B or Type C?

are these all on one circuit?

what size cable?

a 6A may well have serious problems holding in,,,,,,,,,,,,

10A MCB depending on cable size/VD/Zs may well be required.

if they are on one circuit, then load will be 26A. i think that 10A may struggle just as much as the 6A

type wont be much use if he is trying to run that lot of one MCB with a 1mm T&E or even a 1.5,,,,,,,

he could use a Z type and the current will still throw it,

bothers me why he stated 24 fittings if they are not all on one circuit.......

if its in a car workshop the property may be 3 phase and would it not be best to run 8 lamps on each phase to balance them out which would give 2kW per phase and 8.7A so running a 10A for each phase would handle the current requirements aslong as the cable is sufficient?

As for the breaker type, I would possibly run a type C for any startup currents as they could possibly be nearly double that of the running current?

Correct me if I'm wrong please.
