I do sometimes wonder how you made this forum?!

Right click on the cell [or highlight the line then right click]. Text direction is an option.

So simple a woman could do it

Just checked on my daughter's netbook... only one in the house with word on it and it just happens to be the 2007 version... all other PC's use Open office

So... right click on the cell you want vertical and select "text direction"
