The German Market is here in Birmingham again , I think we're twinned with Frankfort or something, its in the main square and down the main shopping street, which is fine , creates a nice festive atmosphere in the city centre.

Very crowded , so strolling round I couldn't help hearing people talking to each other and lots of people talking loudly on cellphones, as they do. Thing is , almost everyone was foreign! Vast majority! Obviously German stallholders and I know that we do have the odd Asian ,West Indian and Irishman but everyone seemed to be Russian ,Polish, Eastern European of various descriptions , the few English accents sounded very "posh" to my ear.

More like darn sarf in Larndern than Brum TBH.

Sorry to disagree with you here EE but I do not consider them idiots when they blow themselves up as long as they do not harm anyone else in the explosion.

UK has got to be the worlds biggest sucker, it's the only country i know, where the foreign immigrants have more legal rights and benefits than it's own indigenous people...

I was in the local hospital today and there was a notice on the wall.......yer I know Hospitals have dozens of notices ........this one was in no less than 28 different languages.....29 if you include English......there was also a notice saying if you needed an interpreter ask at the reception.....hmmmmm

I know what you mean mate. The leaflets are even printed in Afgan ffs wtf is this country coming to. If you cant read / talk English then LEARN or JOG ON!!!

Your both lucky then, while visiting my late mother in the Royal London Hospital (Whitechapel) The notice board didn't have a single notice in English, ....not ONE!!

You talk about interpreters, ....Now think just how much that costs the NHS per year??

Virtually every doctors clinic at the above hospital required a pool of interpreters.

As m4tty said, if they can't or won't learn English ...let them move on or go back from whence they came!! It's high time the country starts saying NO to all these wastes of public money. ....but that would be ''Politically Incorrect'' wouldn't it!!!!!
