Testing RCBO's

If you have an RCBO on a shower circuit and was doing the rcd test. Would you connect the meter L/L N/N on rcbo and Earth to Earth Bar in CU or would you do test with meter connected at shower end. Thanks

Always done at the shower.

Concur!

At the CU. Direct onto the RCBO. Page 91 point 11.1 OSG!

RCBO's are classed as the generic type name RCD in this context..

see first two lines top of page 91!

considering the probes usually need help in place, its easier to do it at the board and re-set with other hand, than constantly moving between locations

i have a 1552 which does auto test, but either way, at a shower switch/shower terminals, the probes need held in place just like at the DB
