of the top of my head i'd have though 20mins (2nd fix), but some will be quick, and then the odd bu$$er will take longer, but as you get into the routine you will speed up

If you think it will take two days, price per day, if it takes you longer then you might be out of pocket

have you allowed time for testing in your totals?

If 230v DL's another trick is to use click-flow, and make up the kits separately may save you time

So this quote is for 1st fix (inc setting out), marking out & cutting holes and then 2nd fix??

I'd say you should be somewhere between 45mins and an hour/fitting.. I find setting out takes a good bit of time.. marking up, cutting holes and 2nd fixing prob only takes 10 - 15mins each.

I have allowed 2 days for the downlighters

as you say Noz the marking out is time consuming

will try to convince the customer to go 230v not LV

45 transformers will be a pain.

I guess it all depends on how accessible it will be to get all the cabling in.

I have just retrofitted 12 into an existing ceiling.

All from under floor above, although the client have moved most of the furniture so that i could get the carpet up.

Took me from 9 - 2 finished.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/Hm2KuJLQVUA?feature=oembedhow exactly does this save time. ;)

so it basicaly just leaves a push fit jb in the celing, and you wire the male end to the light fitting then snap together?

I pre-wire fittings to the transformers & click flow connectors at home the night before installing. All thats left to do on site is wire t/e to the click flow connector (usually do this during FF) or push click flow together.
