Had a job to do today down in Farnham surrey remove two heaters in roof and replace with same.

Get lifting gear in hire van from yard yesterday,Early start pick gas fitter up 5.30 am get for 8 ish, Phone customer up to tell him were here no answer, phone him 8 times no answer,So phone gaffer up tell him the situation say's have some breakfast give one more ring the come back.

Sounds like lack of planning on your bosses part who should have confirmed with the client that it was OK to do the work and they would be on site before sending you out.

It was all set up the week before as the customer said this week would be the best time with shutdown over christmas and have the heating working for when they get back to work.

So when the workforce get back next week and asked why it's not been done he can say oh i turned me moby off last wednesday missed them.

He'll invoice him for the wasted day and hire expenses of the van.

Yes get paid but if we'd have done the job in a day we'd have got 2 days pay for it being over christmas.

Bad news about your annoying day off, but much more importantly, did you find anywhere nice to have breakfast in Farnham? Been looking for a while and not found anywhere.
