Trade organisations

Hi,

Can you please tell me if you are a member of a trade organsiation i.e. Federation of small businesses or something similar and does it help you get more business?

Good idea.

I am just going through the process of CHAS accreditation, most companies that have it are also in constuction line or whatever its called, but I dont feel I need to belong to them!

Local chamber of commerce can be handy depending on what sort of jobs you do. Anything else is generally only joined because of other benefits IME, like construction line members are mostly only in it because someone has said they need to be for a certain contract and FSB members join because they offer discounts and schemes for stuff that comes in handy.

M4tty , there are dozens you could join, all will welcome your money, the only ones that matter are , if you do commercial/industrial work.... NICEIC if domestic then any Part P provider. Or the ECA.

Don't bother with any others.
