heard about it earlier. apparantly, there its only flood water stopping them getting in/out (i.e no collapsed tunnel).

maybe they should just send some divers in....

This is about 5 mins from my house.......air ambulance just went over the house, from the direction of the mine to the hospital ( I think).

No news reports updates yet though.......

Yes, Gents - Three miners are confirmed dead at the Gleision Colliery, near Pontardawe in the Swansea Valley.

Deepest sympathies goes out to all the family, friends and to all who know the victims of this terrible accident.

7.00pm news on the radio just said that all four men have been confirmed dead. This will be a big loss for their community. A very sad day for all involved, families and their work colleagues who managed to escape.

Probably a good idea Deke. I cannot think that there is much more for this thread to say. On behalf of all of our forum members, our deepest sympathies respect and condolences go to all persons involved in this tragic incident, who have lost loved ones, friends and family.
