Flamazine is great but prescription only.

How big is the burn? You can get special dressings these days that are good for burns.

Avoid all the antiseptic creams. If you need something then cheap Aqueous cream or Sudocreme would be my 'off the shelf' choices.

For once this had nothing to do with steptoe. :D

Thank you Apache :) I'll try sudocreme, that works for most things. When I worked with horses we used put sudocreme on everything from sunburn to mud fever :)

Next time this happens,  neat Lavender oil ALWAYS works.

ENSURE that the skin is unbroken.

This stuff is lethal on broken skin, just like garlic.

Lavender oil can be irritant. All we need to do is sooth and keep clean.

Most of the time for simple burns, nothing makes a lot of difference how quickly it will heal! ;)

You never put any creams on a burn except under a doctors instruction make an appointment with your doc

Wet burns or dry;  applied VERY sparingly,

it always stopped the blister coming up.

I just can't believe she's had 'steptoe' tattooed on her before the wedding, may I suggest a slight air of over confidence!! He's not sorted the patio yet!!!!!!!!

I think a wee dram, haggis, tatties and neeps is the traditional treatment for Burns, if you make the 'wee' dram big enough itll stave off the pain until the next morning as an added bonus

I had a very bad electrical burn a few years back, my whole wrist was badly burned from a big arc flash, I was checked out at the hospital and given flamazine which was very effective even on broken skin. But you wont get it over the counter...
