Hi Patche, Oscar has just received letter from the Vets , but as he still can't read I had to read it for him .

" We are now using a Core Vaccination Scheme as recommended by WSAVA.

This means you are not over vaccinated. We are not currently vaccinating against Kennel Cough/Infectios Broncitis Syndrome but lf Oscar goes to the park then the Intra Nasal Vccine Nobivac KC will protect against Bordetella & Canine Parainfluenza "

So we have to ask for the latter I presume , as he does go to the park .

The local urban fox passes though our garden nightly , is there an added risk of infection between fox and dog .

There is no risk of Oscar getting kennel cough or the influenza virus from foxes. They are spread by close contact [ie shows] or sharing an indoor airspace [kennels]. If he goes into kennels I would have him done, if not I wouldn't bother.

There are certain worms that can pass from fox to dogs so you should keep him regularly wormed with an effective product [avoid things from pet shops and supermarkets*].

*the reason being that they tend to be old, less effective drugs, in some cases they are much less safe than those you get from the vet. A typical supermarket wormer may only kill 2/3 of the worms, the one from the vet will do 99%+!
