Not my strongest subject this. Got to wire the above into an existing setup. The old boiler just had a switched live and neutral input. The new one needs permanent power - I can do that bit! External controls on the new one connect across terminals 3 and 4 in the boiler. Now I'm lost. Anyone got a diagram or some guidance please. Two port, two valve system with cyl stat and room stat; Potterton timer. Thanks all.

Thats an S Plan

Some one will be along in a min with a Plan

Basicly the external controls work like this

The room stat controls the Heating Zone Valve

The Cylinder stat controls the Zone valve for hot water.

Feeds to the Stats come from your clock i.e.

Heating ON supply to Heating Zone valve brown via ROOM STAT

Water On supply to Water Zone valve brown via CYLINDER STAT

Greys to both Zone valves come from PERMANENT Live in wiring centre

and the ORANGES from both Zone valves feed the SWITCHED feed to the Boiler on a standard system

The Pump will be fed OFF THE BOILER as thats what the Permanent live is for to keep the pump going to cool the boiler down ( Pump over run)

Ok?

Have a look at that ^

Rewire your boiler from the main junction box with a 4core cable. Connection 1 is your perm wire that into your boiler, then wire connection 10, to the 3 or 4 on your boiler. Your boiler instructions should explain which one.

Sorry Ilman I have just re read your post

The greys and orange will provide Your switching pair to come back to boiler
