Screw fix had a very short spell of giving a packs of 6 screwdrivers with every wylex board sold , I had 3 packs , lost all but 4 or 5 of them nowWet Fish:D

That's no saw mate! It's a chain morticer.

Please also remember BS7671 does NOT apply!

It is BS EN 60204-1 you are loking at here.

Your 7671 colour codes are out the window, and, it also should be wired in compliance with PUWER98 requirements.

You'll also need to think about guarding interlocks etc. for it to be compliant, remember you are now designing & building a replacement control system for the machine.

This is not quite like rewiring a house, well it is but the regs are totally different!!!

Also don't use any 6491x on it at all, use sy, cy, or "kopex" & tri rated.

6491x is terrible with vibration & movement, the chain head moves up and down.

BTW, that's not really old, that is just middle aged in comparison to some of the kit I work on!!!
