what back box?

evening gent,

customer wants a 4 gang dimmer on 2 way, thats a lot of cable, plus the dimmer control, on lath and plsater:_| has any one done this? any tips most welcome!

47mm backbox? get lucky with a joist, and you may be able to get a decent fixing to the side. or drill a bit out of the joist for box to fit into

I've fitted some of those, not sure how it helps though as this is still a dimmer switch, on the wall.

I have had the same situation in a couple of kitchens. I use some remote dimmers from Velleman with retractive grid switches.

You could have cables in box behind dimmer if there is room and then just bring 4 x 3 cores in box fastfix or metal but use 47 mm to make life easy.

Can you wire it the other way round??

i.e. dimmers on end of strapper???

then you'd only have 4 x 3c&e at the dimmers!
