looking at getting a new vacuum cleaner and was thinking of a henry vac. However, would like to be able to handle a wall chaser something like the Metabo one.

would a henry be suitable for this or is it going to be worn out quickly with all of that plaster dust?

Thanks

Robin I have a henry for domestics. Not my ideal one

but it will handle it provided you keep the filter that protects

the motor and sits on the bag.

ALWAYS uncoil the lead completely before use.

My vacuum of choice is a Kirby, but no way would it

handle wall chases.

I have used Henry's for years. I have one in my van and one at home. The work one is used regularly with wall chasers and also for all sorts of debris. Always use the paper bag, although it will work without it the life of the motor is decreased and the cloth filter will never recover. I buy the bags in bulk off EBay. I think you will find 99% of office and commercial cleaners use a Henry .

I use a Henry attached to makita wall chaser and I think it's good. Bit of a pain with the metal tube attachment that gets in the way towards the bottom of the chase. I don't bother with bags tho which has done the suction much good but it's still good for chasing. You only get one chase then the filter needs to be banged out in the garden which creates a dust storm. That was how I was taught but now thinking I may be killing it doing it my way ? You guys must go through loads of bags?

Hooray Henry it is then, Matty what wall chaser do you use and are you pleased with it? Or would you purchase a different one next time?

i have the james version of henry ;) you may want the hetty tho.oh no sorry brian owns that 50% with deke :slap
good idea, Hetty might match the pink drill, polo shirt and toolbag :slap

Is James more up to the job then Badger?

Hi mate it's a makita sg1250 and if it broke I'd get another one of these as I'm well pleased with it. Seems abit expensive for a grinder which takes 2 blades and a depth stop which catches the dust lol. I've got a makita angle grinder which is

Lol - used to sell these 20 years ago. Best vacuum cleaner in the world by far and they should be as I used to sell them at

Think we have done this before but I use a Henry for chasing currently have a Makita chaser just get plenty of bags and replace regularly they are fine.

I have one I got from Argos, wet and dry clean, I have no idea who made it, its in the garage, will look in the morning if I have time.

But It has served me well, though a house flooded with sewage, then floods, when i find out who made it iwiil recommend it highly
