All I know, Binky,  is they have the B,ham City Council contract for what used to be the Direct Labour Unit building maintenance,,, council house repairs , council buildings etc. 

I think they are allied to Travis Perkins .

Are they !  Wheels within wheels eh!    I wonder if Wilmotts  buy all their materials from Travisty ...just wondering of course ....naw... I guess doing a council contract  worth millions you'd have to shop around to get the best prices ..... seeing as its ratepayer's money.

they are touting for contractors in my area, so I suspect they are doing social housing stuff

Don't think their rates will be above £13-14 ph mark.

do well to get above £12 down here,  but it's bulk work.....

Can't really see me working for these guys, but I've got an invite to an open day, so thought I would take a look, and see what happens. Have to say, no-one has come back slagging them off yet, so can't be too bad. We were listed with Mitie until quite recently, who were OK to work for (albeit lowish rates), just spent more time doing paperwork than jobs, so ditched them...

I done work for them with my previous employer in Central London on a big site and they were a good firm, my only draw back was the canteen they supplied for the work force at breakfast...1 bit of bacon with the fry up and had to pay 20p for me coffee!!

I like my breakfast big lol

but on a serious note they were very helpful for info when needed and had the use of labourers when needed also
