what singles would be suitable cable for inside metal chandeliers and table lamps etc? I get asked to do a lot of these,

I have been using 0.5 pvc heat resistant flex but sometimes there is little room inside the things for sheathed flex

It would, but the insulation's so thick you wouldn't be much better off.

I would use stripped heat resisting flex and feed some heat resisting sleeving over this if possible.
