Turn up at an address to undertake a periodic. The landlord gave me a key for entry to the prooperty as the tennant is at work & has been given his marching orders due to being behind on the rent (owes 9 months worth).

I notice all the curtains are closed so I knock just incase, no answer so I try the key......key doesnt work in the lock........barrel of the lock looks new...oh ******. I'm just about to call the landlord while stood on the door step & the door is flung open & a torrent of abuse comes my way...

"what the **** are you up to you c**t, **** off this is private property"

I'm here to test the electrics as agreed with the landlord.

"Well you havent ****ing called to make sure it's ok with me, so you can **** off as I've no time today"

As I said it's all agreed with the landlord, as he owns the property I assume he has every right to allow me the use of a key to the property. I know he has called you as I was there when he spoke to you on Thursday last week.

"He's got no right & you you **** are not comming in today as I'm going out, so get you ****ing van off the drive & **** off"

Look mate either I come in today & test the electrics & invoice the landlord, or I dont come in today & have to rebook & I will be taking

yeah sorry about that m107 you caught me on a bad day :slap

seriously though abusive language and words like that shouldnt be allowed but unfortunately its the way some people live in todays society.

there are deke, i remember a few years ago went into a council house to change a cooker outlet pulled coker out of units and the side and back was covered with so much grease you could have cooked chips in it it was disgusting!! went to van got 6 refuse bags :innocent and used them to stick to sides and back while i changed cooker connection plate, i also wore gloves and the owners thought i was strange for wearing gloves!!

Landlords get a lot of bad press but the crap they have to put up with is unreal, the law is all geared up to protect the tenant, even when they act like the above and decide not to pay the rent .

Remember a while back had to put a meter in a flat at a shop. The tenant who was a large coloured chap was really not happy about it and was giving the owner a lot of abuse this really frightened me to death as i had been beaten up by some of our coloured friends when i was a lot younger. I did the job and was a lot happier when it was finished. The owner did say he was giving this chap his marching orders not sure if it ever happened though.

Was in the local letting agents office this week handing paperwork

5 lots of court papers sitting on the desk all for non payment !!!!!!!

how many months have they missed ???? 3

letting agents are on a hiding to nothin' they get all the references which are all ok only to get shafted a few months later......

landlords are to blame aswell,,,,,,,,some of the properties are shocking.....
