Hi all,

My assessment is next week and I need to show a written quotation for proposed works.

Would anyone be kind enough to let me have a look at one of theirs so I know what sort of info/detail I need to add. I've looked through the download section (big thanks to Andy for uploading the contracts) but couldn't find one.

Many thanks

B

Thanks mate, I'll give it a go, just thought seeing one might make it a bit easier....

As Andy has said , and address it to a relative or someone you know , just make the job up.

Dear Sir,

Which scam provider is asking for that? and what part of this makes you a better spark these scam providers are getting beyond a joke asking for this. Just got a sheet off the NICEIC that I have to fill in for the approved scheme and they want to know value of each job. They can go forth on that one its nothing to do with them thats between me and the Tax man.

This is for Elecsa, they want quotes, contracts etc.... It doesn't make sense though as they know this is my first ever assessment so how would I have such things???

Just because it is a first assessment doesn't mean an electrician has not been trading and carrying out works using the notification methods that involve payments to the LABC's for issuing a building regs compliance certificate. Many other non-electrical trade bodies require their new members to be established businesses with several customers able to offer positive reference as to the quality of work and reliability of the trades-person. In fact at the start of the Part-P arrangement it was a requirement by some of the Part-P approved contractor schemes that the prospective member had been trading for at least two years with a suitable selection of past certificates & customers that could be evaluated for competence. The prospective member using their first one or two jobs as a new business for assessment would have been the exception to the rule. It appears some of the entry standards have been lowered?
