Got a callout today from a customer I put new board in back in March. Report of no power to upstairs sockets. I took the cover off and found 32a B type Wylex breaker had melted. Total load would have been around 18 amps at most and circuit was RCD protected on one side of dual RCD split load board. The connections were tight and the RCD had not tripped.

Just wondering if those Wylex problems earlier in the year could have extended to 32A breakers.

I'll be contacting Electrium and sending them the MCB to see what they have to say.

I stopped using all Electrium products after the recall and now stick with Hager.

I too have stopped using Electrium products. It'd be interesting to know if their sales are down since.

I've found a couple of MCBs where the cable clamp was slightly mis-formed and so would not clamp down properly on the cable and/or busbar.
