The point was,
How diverted the internet can be when you Google one thing and end up with something so different after a few clicks.
I did actually find it quite amusing, d'ya think someone with mental issues like that would get on the BBC,?

i tried to find info on a " Hot Box" Heater. I got rather distracted

Most search engines remember what your last searches were for, I for example searched both hot box and hot box heaters and was shown pages of greenhouse heaters.

Well somewhere, somehow, advertising bods ARE spying on you.
Many of you will know I'm soon to be embarking on building a new house.
Well it seems others know that, and have tied that to my address, because today in the post., came a complimentary issue of "Self Builder & Homemaker"
I would love to know how they tied my name and address to the fact I'm soon to be building a new house. (planning application list is my best guess, anything else probably involved devious monitoring of internet activity)

Theres not much that can't be found about someone's activities these days . As you say , I'm , what 200 miles away from PD but I know he,s building a house shortly .
Who can remember what the Queen said to whatshisname ... Diana's butler ,, when the brown stuff hit the air circulator.....something like " Beware Paul, there are dark and powerful forces afoot " or words to that effect.
Does BT still have the "Tinkerbell " dept that the old GPO used I wonder?
The internet , mobiles, landlines, etc none are secure. I've always remembered when our friend's daughter , then about 10-11 yrs old wrote to a pen-pal in Poland .....the reply envelope when it came..was stamped .." Opened by the Official Censor " That was at the British end.
Amazon etc record everything you purchase and Gawd knows what information Google build up on us all .

many moons ago i had a pay and go mobile for that very reason, I changed my number weekly.
I think that probably the only thing they dont know about you is how many sheets of bog roll you use, [well, I hope they dont anyway! ]
