Hi All Although my work is pretty much industrial, I’m seeing increased marketing from manufacturers for EV dist boards, just makes me wonder what the main reason for putting a board in vs feeding the EVSE from an appropriate MCB/RCBO within the existing DB ?

We do our own in house, as we have to do our site stuff more frequently than the items in the building, if we’ve got to do the site stuff may as well do the rest, we don’t offer this as a service, just look after our own

My personal opinion is that if they are fluorescent fittings, they will have one or maybe two ballasts in there, those things get warm, and lights get left on for a long time, the spacing dimples seem a good idea to me

I meant use led fittings rather than led replacement tubes, the two are way different

I don’t worry about replacing my engine or gearbox as it’s correctly serviced and will be good for a few hundred k miles, years after it’s left my possession, I’m not sure these batteries have that sort of longevity
