How do you know if a sparky is qualified/registered

Hello, I've got a sparky coming round next week. He says he will certify his work and I can see on the NICEIC website that "This Company is a NICEIC Registered Domestic Installer". Is that all I need to do?

    Round pin sockets

Hi guys. Thanks for the responses. Sorry I'm not using the right terminology (lighting rings etc). The godfather gave me the answer I needed - all I'm doing is buying the stuff ahead of the electrician coming to fit it all. Why plugs and sockets - because I'm going to have the over cabinet...

    Kitchen isolators and stuff

Hello, I'm going to ask my electrician to change all my white sockets and isolators to stainless steel, but I don't know what my options are when it comes to the isolators. As I understand it, I can change the cooker hood and washing machine switches for FCUs. What I would like to do is change...

    Hello

Just been on DIYnot and found it particularly unfriendly so have come to seek some refuge. I'm not an electrician (or any type of trade proffessional) but am embarking on refitting my kitchen. I'm doing all the cabinets and a tiny bit of plumbing myself. Of course the electrics are being done...
