Hi I do quite a lot of testing/ Inspection work and am looking for an app or software that will send reminders to clients when testing is due. Can anybody recomend any software that will do this at a reasonable Price
TIA
At the end of last week I took delivery of my new Meggar MFT1730 ffrom Meggar Mark at http://isswww.co.uk/ and what a cracking deal he did for me with the forum discount.
Thanks again
Thats a good review Pewter its nice to know that Meggar have sorted it out for you everytime and like you say you may have just been unlucky.
I am going to get my hands on one for a bit of a demo in about 2 weeks time and that will be when I decide but still interested at the moment
Hi
I am thinking of swaping to useing a multifuntion tester instead of all my seperate units.
I have Been looking at the Meggar MFT 1730 tester and was just wondering what peoples opinion of the tester is. All my seperates are Meggar so should not be too much of a change in operating practice...
Thankyou sparkytim I think I have just realised the solution. I will try out my theory tomorrow. At least there are still some people on this forum who are willing to help when the grey matter cant see the wood from the trees
Yes I know I could bridge out the outside rcd or wire a socket into the feed side of the outside box but was looking for an easy quick and safe method of doing the rcd tests
They are static caravans some sited some not. If it were at my place I would wire an unprotected test socket
And an rd is...
Hi
I have recently started doing quite a lot of caravan tests and am. Looking for a way to test the rd in the caravans Easyer. The problem is with a 30mA RD in the caravan and the same in the box outside you don't know which rd will trip.
I have had a thought about buying a small 150w inverter...
I had an old TP5000 for years at my old house worked great with loads of programable teperature periods. Just use the Live and switched live and terminate the Neutral into a terminal block in the back of the box. Batterys last a couple of years or more but as said no battery no heating
worse still is your paying for the privalage of quoting against maybe 3 others. I ha about decided it was a bad idea a few days back but its worth an ask of other people as it could have been the best thing since sliced bread
Yes they want to sell you the details of somebody that has contacted them for a quote for a job. He said the lead would be sent to no more than 4 people and you paid for leads on a sliding scale from say an extra socket up to a full rewire. it just seems fishy to me.
They are sending sample so called live leads for my local area but no contact details. I suppose I cold go through the telephone book and find some partial addresses myself and claim they were genuine leads. Thanks for the feedback I had thought that this was maybe not a good idea but its nice...
Hi I have had this company contact me regarding selling leads to me. They offer to send you a number of leads each month for which you pay them a fee. Work is a bit on the lean side and in theory it sounds good but it bothers me thatby the time you have added the cost of the lead onto small jobs...
