    CU change

Even if it was okay to reconnect circuits with such low IR readings, surely you just setting yourself up for him to call you back when it trips? Never reconnect and leave a circuit with low IR! Spend an hour or so trying to fault find the problem and see if you can get some lights back on...

    No Earthing on Lighting

In your original post you said you'd tested between L-E and there was nothing there? Does this mean the cable has a CPC but is not connected to earth due to a fault/previous bad workmanship? If so then surely its worth trying to fault find? theres always a JB with loads of twisted together...

    full rewire certification

perfect example of why to do a perfect test report, not been able to prove the o/s wasnt your work would be tricky without it. i think if you put number of points on each circuit it covers you enough with your results, certs take long enough without having to do a location diagram. i would...

    moving sockets

i would lift the boards and extend cables under floor with through crimps. As said before, its a permanent joint and by doing it that way you can move the socket anywhere without worrying about zones.

    NAPIT slams BBC Watchdog

I thought that watchdog was disgraceful. Not only did they fail to mention anything about part p, they also failed to mention anything about any relevant regulations like circuits needing to be rcd protected. Although the two guys where clearly ripping people off there was some truth in what the...

    Busy or not ?

steptoe, im no tory hater, just saying what that report said. Its about whats gonna happen in future. All these cuts may be a good thing, might lead to shortage of work in short run but tories/lib dem not messing about like labour. Hopefully this will sort it out soon enough. Stay pozi!

    Extending ring main

You wouldn't need to crimp twice though. Once to send the cable to the extension, then the return cable would be into the original socket terminals
