NAPIT slams BBC Watchdog

10 June 2010

In a recent BBC Watchdog episode the Rogue Traders team investigated an unregistered electrician scamming customers by selling unnecessary work and electrical equipment that wasn

Was that the same prog. I came on here about, and said I`d complained to `em as well?? I think maybe it was.......

And I`ve still not heard anything back.

Well done Napit - Where were the rest of the em????

Should there not be a half hour program on why the public should use

competent/registered electricians* and Gas safe heating and plumbing engineers

*I say competent as these people notifiy where necessary

would it frighten jo public to see what could happen using cowboys ? yes

so why doesnt the beeb do it ?

surely we pay a tax to them so we should have a say ?

The ONLY freeview channel that I believe, has the 'guts' to do and show such a thing is Channel 4.

What you have got to remember the BBC are like the government they don't listen to what people are say they are too important to listen to what we are saying.

Same here

I thought that watchdog was disgraceful. Not only did they fail to mention anything about part p, they also failed to mention anything about any relevant regulations like circuits needing to be rcd protected. Although the two guys where clearly ripping people off there was some truth in what the younger bloke was saying.

Now when i do a quote for work and have to quote board change/upgrade to bring it in line with regs i feel like people think im trying to rip them off.
