Hello all found the fault today.. Builder has build a stud wall and put a a bit of wood on the cable catching it. I have a pic. It was a short of 0.08 at one end and 0.49 the other. There for I knew what end to start with. But hey all sorted now. I wasn't ever going to leave it.

ok just to check... i no I'm correct in saying that if i have a short of 0.4ish ohms then it MUST be a screw 230 down earth with both ends disconnected... it a good short as well

he is a arctutect so thats explains it. he didn't even do the 2-3 way switching correct on the drawings. but know one seem to have an answer for it. i will do the job to regulations. hence why i have asked other sparks ?

its private. as fr as i am aware its just red trunking no mentaion of fireproof. it is containing just 1-2 fire cables. the client does just not want red coloured

that is correct but my old laptop had a smashed screen so i couldn't unlicense it. he then gave me a new one when i got my new laptop but that had a memory fault that i had to take back to the shop, they then gave me a new laptop witch i didnt unliencse it.

i always have used tysoft easycert for certs.. i now have a new computer and they will not let me swap it over unless i buy a new licensee for around £80.00 plus vat what software do any of you use and recommend ?
