I usually allow 1 amp per double socket, which takes diversity into account. If installing only one ring main, realistically its never going to be loaded to 32 amps.

Not quite sure why my last thread was locked as I felt I asked a reasonable question. When working on DBs which have BS 3871 MCBs, and you are adding a new circuit, do you source new BS 3871 MCBs, do you suggest a full board change or can BS 60898 MCBs fit?

What do you guys do when you are working on older installations where there are BS 3871 MCBs. Do you source the BS 3871 or suggest a board change.

So guys working on a job where there is a MEM DB with BS 3871 mcbs. Can you still get the MCBs if not does anyone know if BS 60898 mcbs or BS 61009 rcbo's will fit in the board.
