    Hypothetical question

OK i will put it differently. Can you use the same unbroken conductor for an main earthing conductor and main equipotential bonding on a TT installation, without contravening and regulations?

    Hypothetical question

I have seen many a post asking if it is acceptable to use a single MEB conductor for all services providing it is unbroken. My question is: Is there a regulation that prohibits the use of a single conductor for earthing and bonding of a TT installation providing it is unbroken?

    Another bonding question

I presume that you mean running your cable through an airbrick. Apart from the fact that it looks as rough as, i do not believe that one cable would prevent the free flow of air to pass through. It could possibly be argued that you are using something for a purpose that it was not designed for...

    Dog illness

Thank`s for the response. I have had her out this morning and she is her usual chirpy self, running around like a loony. She has done her business and it is firming up. No signs of blood just a faint red tinge in one part of it

    Dog illness

Hi Apache, looking for advice if you would be so kind. I got in from work not too long ago and there were the dried remains of bile in four areas on the floor. I let my dog out and she had a very smelly, loose/watery poo, but there was a little bit of blood in it. I then walked the dog and she...

    Double pole isolation

Hi all i was on a job today, domestic dwelling. TN-C-S supply. Inside the meter box before the consumer unit i noticed a double pole isolator, however only the line conductor was passing through the isolator. The isolator was all sealed. Surely this does not comply with 537.1.4

    A Zs observation for all

So theoretically the corrected value is your max value if you cannot exceed this

    A Zs observation for all

So what do you do when you exceed the 80% value but you do not exceed the maximum Zs permitted by BS7671?

I think that they knew he was there for a very long time. They were just playing mind games with Pakistan to see if they would disclose that he was there.

    C/U Change for Elecsa Assesment

I think the others like to see them in with their corresponding cpc`s only and not all bunched together and the ends crimped with a ferrule

    C/U Change for Elecsa Assesment

Looks like the old M.E.B`s in 10 and 11 to me. You will need to crimp a ferrule on the end of your RCBO earth fly leads and terminate them individually with their corresponding cpc`s

    How did he do that?

I recently connected a boiler and noticed a nice new 17th edition C/U. Great i thought, no M.E.B`s to install. Looked inside the C/U and there was only a 6mm

    High Ze

Hi all, investigating a high Zs, so I measured Ze on a PME system and got a reading of 0.53Ω I contacted the DNO who informed me that they would accept a value of up to 0.8Ω, I repeated that it was a PME and they said that it did not matter. Anyone had a similar conversation with them?
