    Internet capable House Alarm.

Most of the Honeywell galaxy range have the sms texting, for alarm activations. There is a guy on YouTube who has managed to design a virtual keypad for some of the galaxy dimension range. If you search for smalarms ( all one word ) on YouTube you will see his post, he also has a link For the...

The somewhat complex issues of array frame bonding - thoughts and ideas welcomed

I have had two installs now, both with different inverters sma 3800 and sma 4000 tl where the array produced a ac voltage of 120v.!!!! This was only discovered ( after all testing was complete and found fault free) when we where cutting down the rails either side of array and my mate claimed he...

    wholesalers pricing

Don't know why they do this, it kills me the amount of time I waste going through and checking my invoices from Ross electrical. If I buy something out the ordinary ,they charge me a fortune. Then I have to waste my time getting credit back for it. I actually prefer screwfix/electrifix...

    OK, who's nicked them??

Re slip. Yea i see what you are saying but you can use them to remove outer sheeth of cable further down then grab the draw cord to measured length required. Slightly easier on the nails. :)

    OK, who's nicked them??

Re steptoe.. Yea I think so. Great for stripping upto 2.5 flex ,8 core alarm cable , telephone cable, singles and cat 5/6. Never tryed it on the double insulated solar pv cable now that I think about it( will try tomorrow). Great in your toolbox if your doing a repetitive job , flexing lights etc.

    OK, who's nicked them??

I hate it when tools go "missing". I do a fair bit of intruder installs for a major retailer and I invested in a pair of automatic strippers , automotive type ones, can't beat them especially for stripping belden. Sorry to hear about your knipex. That's the ones ian932..

    What Van

I've got a petrol transit which I run on Lpg. Love the heated front screen on these winter mornings. Like all the compartments in the front and the twin battery works well for charging my drill batteries with an inverter. Always seems to be the same problems with transits but. Damp patches in...
