    iPhone or HTC Desire?

I'm pretty sure I had to install iTunes before I could even use the phone at all when I first got it. Doesn't jailbreaking the phone invalidate any warranty/support?

    iPhone or HTC Desire?

HTC with the 2.2 Froyo update is unbeatable by the iPhone in my opinion. There's nothing worse than needing to go to a website to check a price or something and finding that the website won't support browsers without flash installed. I also love the fact you don't have to have iTunes installed...

    PACKAGE FROM HONG KONG

I'm seeing more and more of these plugs doing the rounds. We had a brand new pair of peristaltic pumps from a extremely well respected manufacturer at work for medical use that had those exact fuseless plugs fitted! bad day explode

Bosch or Makita 240v Hammer Drill?

I'd go for the Bosch GBH2-26DFR. Handy for those odd occasions when you can't be bothered to go out in the rain and get your rotary drill.

    Dental x-ray machine

There's no issue with using flex for fixed wiring - why would there be?!. You could do a whole installation in flex if you wanted to.

    Talking about Air Conditioners.

Air conditioning and heat pump type systems are generally 300 to 400% efficient in terms of electrical input. Sounds weird, but the electricity supply is only doing part of the job.

If you look closely you might spot something here...

Yes it has. The main isolator should be on the far left, RCD on the far right.

    Odd lighting singles...

That's not how you test for a borrowed neutral. The neutrals aren't joined together, so you won't get continuity between any of the neutrals.

Todays job involved CCTV and alarm system outside.

Is the DVR suited to loft installation? Not sure I'd be happy with it in there.

    GU GZ Dichroic or not

GU10 - Aluminiumised GZ10 - Dichroic The GU10 has a bevel around the base but the GZ10 has a square corner. This stops the GZ10 being used in a fitting designed for a GU10 but allows the GU10 to be used in either. Aluminiumised (GU10) lamps relect heat forward, dichroic (GZ10) lamps don't, so...
