Yup

Interesting variation on a 13 Amp Plug top , not exactly to BS1363.

no fuse?

also, the pins look too close to the side of the plug to comply with 1363

and shouldnt the sleeving on the pins be brown/blue. and why is the earth partly sleeved?

Is that a genuine HP PSU, or a Chinese copy?

From ebay I guess.

Seriously though a lot of the stuff on ebay from Hong Hong is dirt cheap, particularly the cheap postage rates they seem to be able to get (I couldn't post something from here to Hong Kong anywhere near as cheap)

While I'm sure you will be fitting a proper 13A plug, there must be hundreds like that in use with no fuse.

That is a 100% genuine fake.

I would never consider Ebay for any electrical items.

Actually, i wouldnt even consider it for ANYTHING.

Is it genuine? Or fake? It can't be a genuine fake lol but like having an old new car,

joking aside that definitely looks snide. Did anyone see that program in china where they make snide mk stuff or anything you want make as a fake. What a joke bet half these fakes look as good as the real stuff

A lot of warnings flying around lately about Power units and Chargers . With some of the dodgey chargers the transformer winding insulation breaks down and it delivers 240v to the phone or whatever . Obviously they don't give a dollop of the brown stuff if a child is powering one of those games thingys or someones making a call with their phone connected to 240v.

the amount of cheap chinese tack i've bought off ebay, lol

they use cheaper techniques to do the same job or there abouts,

the chinese probably use tap a tap off tranformer cheaper to produce but can deliver 230v;) when faulty,

the best place for them is the bin,

Ebay is an excellent place to buy and sell. I use it all the time. Just have to have a bit of 'nouse' about you and ensure that what you buy is genuine. Of course, some things are impossible to tell if fake or not and for that reason I never buy clothes, shoes or electrical items for sale on Ebay from outside the UK.

When I looked at the opening post, I thought the bit missing was the laptop! Sorry ; -)

Bought 2 usb chargers on ebay ,from china for my phone, none fitted, so got refunded without returning the items, so not bad.

I'm seeing more and more of these plugs doing the rounds. We had a brand new pair of peristaltic pumps from a extremely well respected manufacturer at work for medical use that had those exact fuseless plugs fitted! bad day explode

Incredibly, I have sold a couple of Varta Mempac batteries to Ebay buyers in red China.

I was surprised!
