Routing 16sqmm SWA externally - recommendations?

Table 54.7 is to calculate/select the cross sectional area of every protective conductor, other than a protective bonding conductor. Regulation 544.1.1 states the minimum CSA of bonding conductors except where PME conditions apply. Where PME conditions supply the CSA should be selected using...

Routing 16sqmm SWA externally - recommendations?

I only have the 16th edition GN8 but page 41-42 are worth reading for whoever doesn't understand the bit about equivalent conductance.

Routing 16sqmm SWA externally - recommendations?

Yes there is nothing wrong with using the armour as the CPC if its of an adequate size. There is nothing wrong with using the armour as a bonding conductor if its of an adequate size to offer equivilant conductance. The armour of a 16mm 2 core SWA is adequate as a CPC but not as a bonding...

Routing 16sqmm SWA externally - recommendations?

I've had the argument loads of times about using the armour as combined CPC and bonding conductor.....Its clearly stated within the regs that it has to offer equivalent conductance of copper if other metals are used i.e the steel armour when used as a bonding conductor. 16mm 2 core hasn't got a...

I need a mains powered wireless thermostat

Doesn't that still require a cable between the contact on the thermostat and boiler though?

I need a mains powered wireless thermostat

Nest... but you would have to use the supplied power lead and adaptor. Could you install it backing on to a cupboard somewhere and plug it in within the cupboard? Most wireless thermostats have a low battery indicator and don't just go dead over night...and as said above last at least a couple...

    Reccomend me a CU please

yeah I meant installing a cable between shower isolator and relay. Then cable from boiler/wiring centre to relay so the boiler control signal can be taken through the normally closed contact. Getting the cables in position might not be an option.

    Reccomend me a CU please

It would be handy if you could install a relay so the shower wont work if the 12KW boiler is pulling FLC but probably wont be a viable option.

Advice - No hot water flow on-demand

Isn't a PRV a pressure relief valve not a pressure reducing valve which is what the one in the pic is?

    lighting query

http://www.surewire.co.uk/ I can understand using the method for top floor lighting but not ground floor lighting if your intention is to hide the JB under the floor even if the connectors are MF. If I was to use the method on the ground floor then I would hide the JB in a storage cupboard or...
