    dodgy eicr

I've never been a member of NAPIT but from my understanding R1 plus R2 is not deemed to be an essential test as part of EICR. Just to mention I think its prudent to peform this test though.

    dodgy eicr

Agreed and this is what I do. But as its an eicr there isn't a requirement to do R1 plus R2 even though it would be prudent. On new installations I either bypass the RCD or carry out the alternative method. Imo gives more of a true reflection than using the low current/no trip setting.

    dodgy eicr

Only thing with this method is it wont pick up any high resistance through OCPD's or RCD's etc. You could always carry out the alternate Zs test by linking L-E at the furthest point.

    garage supply

personally If there was an extraneous conductive part/s that required bonding I would install a 3 core SWA that's adequately sized for the bonding. Another option would be to install a separate conductor which would have to also be sized correctly due to burial under ground if that is your...

    garage supply

Are there any extraneous conductive parts that need bonding within the garage? If so the armour of the 4mm will not be adequate for the use of a combined CPC and bonding conductor.

The earthing arrangement might require the SWA to be on an RCD. What is the earthing arrangement?

Pme again with workshop help please

I would extend the equipotential zone to the shed. The OP has a 10mm 3core so as long as the supply neutral is under 35mm the 10mm will be adequate to bond any extraneous conductive parts which I doubt there will be anyway.

Pme again with workshop help please

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Joint the SWA in an accessible dappy box or bury a resin joint and extend it to the new position. Use the DNO supplied earth for the shed. MCB at the supply end with a small garage unit with 30ma RCD within the shed.

    Tools are cheap

All three...that's a bit flash lol. I don't think the build quality can be beaten. It has more than paid for itself with time not spent routing around a tool box looking for a tool.

    Tools are cheap

The Klein electricians bag is very similar to the CK magma technicians bag Imo but the CK bag is half the price of the Klein bag. I think the best tool bag on the market also American is the veto pro pac XL or the OT XL.
