    Can a domestic installer

Yes of course I will have insurance. Dont take this the wrong way-im just trying to establish what is required within the industry in general. Its very confusing with so many things you see. is 6amp always used for lighting?

Just spitballing. If a particular house required many lighting arrangements far exceeding say 1400 watts on one floor is a larger mcb/fuse and cable size ever used-or would you always use a seperate circuit for each 1400 watt load. Hope this makes sense.

    Anti tamper ??

    Garage earthing

I was led to believe a tt system had to be fully rcd protected-so a new cu would be the case wouldnt it. Then as for bonding-from earth stake to cu and then I would think the earth from the swa is fine for a garage as there are no water pipes or extra stuff there are there?

    Answer this one!

sorry if im dragging up an old post-maybe im wrong but surely if the boiler is fused at 3 amp the maximum amps running through that particular 2.5 cable would ever be 3 amp before the fuse would blow anyway. The fact that it is spurred from a ring main wouldnt affect it as the current drawn down...
