    Once went to a realy old single phase motor that had come from another plant, along with its realy old starter and even older wall mountedX( capacitor. All wired in black singles in steel tube...............that someone had put the hacksaw through on removal. AAAArrrrggghh !

    Ahh the good old Crabtree C50 breakers. (model no, not device rating) That is an early example. I actually liked them for one reason. The breakers had a screw to fasten them into a threaded hole on the busbar, a sound connection IMHO, and the breakers diddnt move to one side when tightened...

    I have an ex army Landrover 110 V8 petrol. Converted to LPG though ! Thinking about chopping it in for a Discovery. Because of my other work,(the outdoor PA stuff) I need a heavy towing vehicle.

    The contactor is made (or was made) by Crabtree, and were actually very good. The contacts lifted out in one lump and were easy to replace, Typical British made, well built stuff that was designed to last.......................just like today !
