Can someone put a date on this MEM installation?

Can someone please tell me a rough date of when this sort of stuff was considered state of the art?

Also if the sealing tag was removed what would I expect to find behind the cover? One or two fuses for the supply.

Im not sure if these are the ones but i think somebody warned about opening these cos they sometimes break and cause the fuse to short onto the earthed casing.

Ive seen a few around the doncaster area but i never opened any.

No, they are a bit later than that, Mid 60's through to early 70's. The fuse carriers are normally robust in these, its the older cast cases that had the flimsy porcelain holders

If you do anywork on that installation just be aware that there is a good chance the fuse holders etc could be lined with asbestos.

I have fitted many of those fusebox's, but the later ones were grey. Ohhh, Is that mounted sideways ? (see other thread)
