    Horstmann stat problems

    They where fitted by another contractor at the school (1Kw load) I fitted the ones controling the 300w load. It does state that the maximum switching capacity is 10A. (2.4Kw @240v) Looks like thats a load of bo11ocks then if they are not even capable of switching 300w. Cheers GS ----------...

    Storage heater cutout

    Evening all. Attended a call out the other day regarding a storage heater not working. A part of the cut out/stat has cracked and irreparable . Its an old Dimplex storage heater. Does anybody know where I can get parts for these heaters? I have attached a picture, I hope this helps. Cheers GS

    I'm not sure to be honest Noz, as I paid for the transfer, then I paid for another annual fee (DI) because my annual subscription had come to an end and i still had to notify. So Ill now pay the annual fee for AC, and hopefully get a refund from the DI annual fee! If that makes sense. GS

    help - car doing wierd stuff.....

    K- Series engine? Was the head skimmed when gasket was done? Gaskets on them are like paper. Replace them when they go with another "paper" gasket and it will go again. I got a Landrover head gasket put on the missus' old Rover. Worked a treat and lasted. Could just be the cold weather though. GS

    Evening all. Had my annual NIC assesment today to transfer from a DI to an AC. Went well. He's recommended that the transfer be accepted. Obviously the final decision lies with head office. But fingers crossed. Happy days GS.
