Just a quick one

Am I right in thinking 10mm XLPE SWA (clipped direct) will be ok on a Square D SFA1063B 63A breaker?

Cheers

Not clue mate without checking the tables in 7671 & mine not to hand as I am working on other stuff at the mo!

It should be easy to check if your brb is close to hand, 90 deg thermosetting, single or 3 ph clipped direct?

SideWinder.....

Anything to do with that Heavy duty Band Saw installation you were/are involved with??

Larnacaman,

Most of my work is HD machinery I do A LOT in woodworking.

My background is in m/c, but as it happens yes I am working on the small (only a 36") bandsaw job at the moment, regarding PUWER98 compliance and upgrades of the machine to comply there with!

Just one Problem, ......he's using 4 core SWA Cable ..Not 2 core!!!!

(If it's for that split load NSH job he was talking about yesterday that is??)

.

M4tty,

It ain't that difficult to do without a sw package!

I have done an excel sheet to help me with these calcs.

The typing takes longer then the calcs really!

Paul.

Small doesn't necessarily mean it's not heavy duty...lol!!! That's a hell of a run-up time on that band saw too. Are you sure someone hasn't messed with the timer on that Y/D starter??

Your problem with breaker types, is one of the reasons i always stipulate MG or ABB boards and breakers on my projects. You have the complete range of breakers and auxiliaries to cover just about every situation you could encounter. Including breaking capacities on MCBs up to around 25+ KA.....

.

Yes, ....Absolutely Nothing wrong with the Siemens range either. But when it comes to ACBs/GCBs, you can't beat MG or ABB. That also goes for their MV Breakers and Ring Main units, i've never had a failure yet on either of those two manufactures equipment....

No worries!...Thaught I was on the wrong thread for a mo! Long long day...and an even longer one to look forward 2 2moro.

Happy days man!

Cheers
