    Mft calibration prices

It does in my house, but that's my experience of retesting regularly the same RCD,

    Mft calibration prices

if you do the RCD test regularly it does seem to keep them working properly.

Probably, I've never even bought a torque screwdriver

    Mft calibration prices

NICEIC have liked monthly check with a resistance box and RCD on a known circuit for many years, they used to accept proper cal cert on a 2 year basis. Personally I think yearly proper cert is minimum acceptable especially given the rough environments are test gear can be subjected to.

    Outside socket

you probaly have RCD protection for the sockets already so don't need a RCD socket- check your board.

Adding RCD to washing machine socket

What about fixed equipment ie not a socket, but say a gas boiler?

phone some local ones and ask when they are having another cal day. Most have around 2 a year.

Adding RCD to washing machine socket

that can be much easier said than done, but is alwys the ideal situation. Now I might be little out of touch due to retirement, but it was legit to have a fridge of freezer on a dedicated cct without RCD protection. I'm sure I will be corrected shortly if I'm wrong :D

    Mft calibration prices

That's cheap. I normally pay around £85, we have a company that does calibration work in Plymouth. They have a proper test lab that reminds me of when I worked in a similar environment calibrating and maintaining test gear as part of my apprenticeship.

    Strange way to supply

So they have taken a supply from the old board to the new board reusing the old enclosure for the cable run? Having worked in a few schools, such things are not that unusual. The question is, is it safe?

Extractor fan install is noifiable, plus more!!

I can understand some form if certification for new build passive houses, but never a bathroom fan. The trouble with all the registration bodies is they are all quangos. As such they are businesses, and profit is their motivation

Adding another circuit to and old cu

Looks like you have an old VOELD below the board, an early form of RCD that I doubt will still be working properly. I would agree updating the board would be a good idea. You could add an RCD in a separate enclosure next to the board for the new circuit, but could really do with RCDs on all...

Medical clinic CT scanner with batteries + solar…?

You would need a small field of solar panels to power the CT. It is possible to do what you want with batteries charged from solar/ or off peak . You are probably better off with just charging batteries in off peak rates, and no solar for that. You are also probably better off keeping the CT as...

    Powering 19v DC motor.

I was thinking more about cheap drills and batteries you could cannablise. Maintaining an even cut with a stirmmer is almost impossible - Ive tried that :)
