No risk assessment or asbestos survey. Is this a norm for an electrical company in England?

It is law that a RA must take place orior to starting work. Now this of course can be done in your head but for a re-wire or something similer it really should be documented.  It is also law that every employer must have a register of any ACMs that are there. As soon as a donestic property...

For those who like to be ahead?

It is completely out of line that this is due in 12 months time. The proposed changes do not warrent a new edition imo.

    The EU Referendum

They knew it would be the ONLY way to get a majority. Hence Cameron's desicion to not seek a third term. The only thing is the renegotiation went pear shaped so now he has to back the remain camp just to save face. Anyone noticed that the supposed renegotiation has been convienently swept under...

    New Top Gear

People forget that when Clarkson, May and Hammond started the chemistry was not there and the format was very different.  The natural chemistry developed and they slowly developed a format that was fantastic.   The new crew need time.  It will be a couple of years.

    Conduit around cylindrical structures

As I said earlier this is reletively easy to do. Quicker than pyro.  From your choices A and C are no option. Of course it would be B. We have a skilled pyro man on board anyway. I was talking about myself as opposide to the business.

Agreed. I do like a good bit of tray and trunking work also though.

    Conduit around cylindrical structures

I have very limited knowledge on pyro. Installed probably about 20 meters and made of 4 ends. That is that. However; it is a fact that it is hardly used these days compared to alternative methods. I know electricians like to flex their muscles with things like this but I prefer to just say it as...

    Conduit around cylindrical structures

I personally think @dmxrr is doing the right thing. Pyro is a thing of the past except for a listed building so that leaves steel conduit. This is the correct choice. SWA?  Come on?  And since when was doing a running coupler an issue?

    Windows

As above. Still waiting for it to do its thing. Been three hours now.  You are right. What I really want is the new iPad Pro. Oh, and an iMac.

    Windows

Yeah but not at home. Still have a laptop.  Was on 10. Originally on 8 which it has restored to. Now waiting for 'upgrade' to 10. Taking bloody ages.

    Windows

Yes. Just behind a 5WW thread for getting those angers up is a thread about Windows. Temper lost - restore to factory settings started. 1 hour later and 8% completed and now calm wondering what I have done.  :popcorn
