    Strange Metering Problem

He called me today, the Landlord saying he was getting another electrician out today. If he found any faults he would pass the cost onto me. I told him to do his best and goodbye. Its the meter, and I told him. I would love to find out what happened, but I doubt he will call me again.

    Strange Metering Problem

@Tony S I got the call on Friday and was out with family on Saturday so could only get there on Sunday. The landlord is blaming me for not connecting the CT's properly though they worked before.

    Strange Metering Problem

All the CT's are fine, the meter was working as far as I know up to this last week when the low line voltage was seen as an error. It is now showing no error other than the screen just shows xxxxxxxxxxx                                                              00000000 Not seen it before.

    Strange Metering Problem

A couple of months ago I installed a sub main and new board in an industrial unit, this was to be sub let by the landlord. Today I received a call asking if I could go and have a look as the meter was not recording properly and it showed a fault " Low Line Voltage". When I arrived the meter...

supplementary protective equipotential bonding for bathroom?

Where does it state that it should not? Any work carried out now, should be to the current regulations, without a full appraisal of the installation in question we can not make such suggestions. We could give an informed view, but that is about all we can do. I do understand the thinking...

    Banned breed

One of the best dogs I ever had was a rescue pup I rescued myself from a guy with bad intent. It was an American Pit Bull cross Neapolitan Mastiff. He was very good with my children when they were young, and played with other dogs contrary to what he was supposed to do. However, if any one...

I would check that with an employment lawyer, many employers have been bitten by the very same beliefs.

Worker loses life after fall from roof

The problem is @Essex1 I find that any Rams is now more of an office exercise and never enforced in the workplace. I have been on sites were no toolbox talks are carried out, no instructions have been given for the safe use of tools and machinery. People have been allowed to use cherry pickers...

    Cable in conduit

As Prodave said above, the tape they use to seal each panel of damp proofing can be used to seal around the cable. I take it from your description it is that bubble packaging looking type? If so we had a mains section board and distribution panels built into the damp proofing and the guys just...

EICR 's on old versions of the Regs.

Any testing carried out should always be to current standards. Its not that any previous standards are going to meet that, but rather to ensure that the procedures are the same universally. A tester should be fully knowledgeable on any previous standards that he is likely to encounter. One of...
