ye but im only doing the 1st light and the 1st switch first because i'm unable to do the other lights yet because i need a cherry picker to get up which i dont have a license for!

so for just the 1st switch to the 1st light, could I use just 3-core for this?

I'm wanting to run 4 lights using 2 switches and 3-core cable. From the consumer unit i've ran the cable into a junction box which also goes to the 1st switch and to the 1st light, then to the second light, 3rd, 4th and then to the other switch how would this be wired? Thanks!

just regular butal with a live earth and neutral, maybe its called twin and earth, i'm not a competent electrician so not familiar with all this :)

im using 3 core butal, I just didnt mention the earth cos i know where they go just not sure about the live and neutrals

Im wiring a light with a switch and the switch is marked common, L1, L2 I have the live and neutral wire from the board coming to the switch and also another live and neutral coming from the light, someone tell me where they go? Thanks
