A friend of mine is selling her house. Inspector has told her that all the cables under the insulation in the attic must be moved and put on top of insulation surely this is wrong.

Been to a callout this morining. Rented Property had a roof leak, water going into smoke detector on top of landing.Turned off circuit removed detector which was full of water put battery operated detector only back up untill leak fixed charged

So much to think about just for some downlights

Belive it or not i have just finished a two bedroom house after 6 months. This due to a builder who was doing all the work by himself. What started off a being a nice easy small job ending up being a pain in the butt as i had to keep going back and for.

Thanks for the answers .The fuses are 3036 and the RCD is double pole 80 amp so i can see where your come in from if the Zs is met,it just seems an old board to a young lad like me.All im doing is adding some spots in kitchen off the old circuit I just thought i would have to use a new MCB...

Looked at a job yesterday had a old fuseboard but someone had put a RCD in front of it. Where do i stand its an old fuseboard that should be changed but it has got RCD protection.
