EICR Remedial Work and using another Electrician

No. If I issue a report then it can never be altered. Nor is there any reason for it to be.

    Landlord EICR and fuseboard shortage

Not on this side of the Irish Sea.

    Landlord EICR and fuseboard shortage

Some materials are taking months to arrive, certainly over here. Others come straight away. It's very hard to plan things at the minute.

    So, Tesla cars...

It would need to be four pole as it must break all live conductors.

All keeping up with EV charging points ?

LOL. They even have the grant amount wrong. It dropped from £500 to £350 many months ago!

All keeping up with EV charging points ?

Not all EVSEs incorporate the RCBO, e.g. EO units.

    Where is the fusebox ?

That's hardly an approved or sensible means of doing anything...

EICR's (again) daft information on the interweb

What is there to investigate about unsheathed flex in a pendant either?

    IR testing

The switches should be closed for the Live/Earth test. It's referring to Live/Live with switches open. Personally I'd probably only do Live/Earth in those circumstances.

Covid 9 plus Brexit equals ............

They have admitted that they are falsely classifying things as COVID. None of the restrictions have merit. We cannot ban death. It's totalitarian government overreach.  I certainly won't go around wearing a stupid gas mask nor shall I tolerate an illegal lockdown.

    Reg number?

Would you prefer unlawful, or perhaps proscribed?
  12. Risteard

    Reg number?

That's not what is written though (nor is it what has ever been written). It states that it may not necessarily be unsafe or require upgrading - it doesn't definitively state that it is safe and doesn't require upgrading. In other words due consideration needs to be given to the issues. Fused...

    PVC conduit nail clips

Use expansion couplers to deal with expansion.

    PVC conduit nail clips

Not crampets - these are PVC clips for conduit. Crampets are steel and need to be drilled and plugged to fix. These just have nails in them.

    PVC conduit nail clips

You can get round clips for conduit. Typically only use them in a track (chase) which is being plastered over.

    Cenex report on EV chargers

The NICEIC course is no longer connected with Rolec and hasn't been for a number of months.

    Cenex report on EV chargers

I presume he's suggesting that if the neutral/Earth link is broken essentially now there is no neutral but two phase conductors and therefore without the Earth reference there would need to be an additional fault for there to be a shock risk.  Obviously the PV must not share an RCD though as...

    Cenex report on EV chargers

I forgot to mention that an EVSE RCD must break all live conductors.

    Cenex report on EV chargers

Undoubtedly plenty of installations are being done incorrectly. Hopefully those who have completed training on these are installing correctly as they cannot plead ignorance.

    Cenex report on EV chargers

No it isn't acceptable to have a Type AC RCD upstream of a Type A or B device (or Type A upstream of a Type B).  Also the RCD must be dedicated to the EVSE. Multiple EVSEs may not be protected by the same RCD, nor may other parts of the installation be protected by the same RCD as any EVSE.
