it does matter, because you need to make sure the earth is the correct size for fault current to open breaker. no good assuming 6mm when its 4

My understanding of T&E is:

Line cpc

1.0 1.0

1.5 1.0

2.5 1.5 (some early metric was 1.0)

4.0 2.5

6.0 2.5

10.0 4.0

16.0 6.0

I think you will find 4.0mm has a 1.5 cpc.

Was working on basis that u needed 4mm then 6mm would be ok

So is 4mm plus stranded ?
