16mm steel backbox

hi everyone

doing a rewire at the moment and managed to pull all switch wires down original drops without ruining decor, problem is the back boxs have no rubber grommets, the 20mm ones won't fit do you know if you can buy them for 16mm back boxs.

Do you need grommets in?

Existing conduit, fixed embedded switch box,

A lot of 16mm switch boxes have smooth rolled edge slot.

No reg says you must have a grommit.

20mm grommets fit the oval knockouts of 16mm boxes.

If it won't fit - snip a small section of the grommet away (so it's no longer a complete loop).
