I wanted to know more about 16th ed regs so I found a copy on ebay for £3 :) this one is brown and incorporates some amendments but then I found a blue one with no amendments :yawn

So I have 2 questions...

which is the best one to have?

I understood there was some kind of sequence to the colouring of 7671's ??? If so then I am confused about the blue one as the next one will be blue too?

Sorry for boring you all to death....

:coffee

Just.....trolling ebay

Like the current one there are amendments wasn't sure which one had the most amendments ;)

Didn't bother with the current regs they gonna change anyway why waste £70 when I can get the old ones for £3... Did I mention I saw a van with r.b electrics written on the side today  :(

All,my old regs books are in the loft, AND they are staying there!

I recall having red blue brown yellow green (i think the blue and yellow are loose leaf format to make the amendments easier....then they found they couldnt sell more expensive 'amended books' so they were losing money and knocked that idea on the head). I think these are sixteenth, but may be 15 th

I have an A5 orange version which could be 15 th or 14 th

I saw some brown OSG's on ebay but they were 16th :(

So is there a sequence?

I wish I could go back in time and carefully look through my Grandfathers books no doubt he would have had nearly all 7671's in pristine condition, somewhere I have his apprenticeship records from 1939! he was a good student but a bit cockey  :innocent

Lazy git!!!! :slap

AFAIK the current colour sequence started with the 15th and it goes;

RED - GREEN - YELLOW - BLUE - BROWN - RED - GREEN - YELLOW - BLUE - BROWN - RED - etc..etc..etc..etc..

so our next colour 'should' be YELLOW!

The colours went as per the post by Specs, the Brown covered version was the last of the 16th.
